Italy joined the championship in 2000, turning the Five Nations into the Six Nations, and marked their debut with a 34-20 win over Scotland in Rome. They have not yet won the title, and third place is their best finish, but they beat England 23-18 in Rome in March 2026.
Home matches moved from the Stadio Flaminio to the much larger Stadio Olimpico in Rome in 2012. In 2027 Italy host Ireland, France and Wales there, all at 15:10 local time on a Saturday, which leaves an evening free in the city. The stadium is not on the metro, so plan the last leg by bus or tram. Each fixture below links to its comparison page, where some offers are travel packages rather than single tickets.
