Japan, the Brave Blossoms, produced one of the most famous upsets in rugby history when they beat South Africa at the 2015 Rugby World Cup in Brighton. Four years later they hosted the tournament and reached the quarter-finals for the first time, beating Ireland and Scotland on the way.
In the Nations Championship, Japan play in the southern group alongside the established southern hemisphere teams and Fiji. Their November tour brings them to England at Allianz Stadium in Twickenham on 14 November, then to Scotland at Scottish Gas Murrayfield in Edinburgh on 21 November, a fixture with history since that 2019 World Cup win in Yokohama.
England have won every recent meeting with Japan, so a first win at Twickenham would be a landmark. Each match page compares the resellers we follow, with a note on whether fees are included.
